Insol® Dermatophyton

Active Ingredient
The following fungal species are included in the vaccine

  • Trichophyton verrucosum,
  • Trichophyton mentagrophytes,
  • Trichophyton sarkisovii,
  • Trichophyton equinum,
  • Microsporum canis,
  • Microsporum canis var. distortum,
  • Microsporum canis var. obesum,
  • Microsporum gypseum

Insol® Dermatophyton contains the preservative Thiomersal.

Indication
Active immunisation and treatment of horses against dermatophytosis caused by the above mentioned fungi.

Characteristics
Dermatophytosis is the contagious superficial infection of the skin caused by dermatophytes (ringworm or tinea) which is the most common skin disease in horses. The spores can survive for years. Insol® Dermatophyton contains immunogenic strains of fungus. Based on a special manufacturing process the inactivated microconidia stimulate cell-mediated immune response in particular. Insol® Dermatophyton contains no adjuvants or adsorbents.

Application
