Advanced electrolyte supplement for all working horses
FORMULATED BY PROGRESSIVE NUTRITION, USA

KEY FEATURES : Essential salts plus dextrose, readily absorbed by the body
WORKLOAD : Light, moderate, hard
TUB SIZE : 2kg, 9kg

When horses sweat they lose vital water and body salts (electrolytes). Prolonged sweating, whether during exercise, performance or travelling, can result in dehydration, decreased performance, fatigue, muscle cramping and other problems. Maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance is essential for optimum performance and research has shown that administering an electrolyte before, during and after work can delay the onset of fatigue dramatically.

Aqua-Aide contains key salts, including potassium chloride and magnesium, in addition to the commonly included sodium chloride, plus sufficient dextrose for optimum absorption. It is designed to be administered according to length and intensity of work done and can be fed ad hoc (whenever the horse sweats), on an ongoing basis or before, during and after competition days. Its highly palatable formulation can be administered in water or wet (sloppy) feed.

Do not feed to sick horses unless advised by your vet.

FEEDING ADVICE

  • When introducing Aqua-Aide in the drinking water for the first time, provide a source of water without the electrolyte as some horses may take time to adapt to drinking the electrolyte solution.
  • When administering Aqua-Aide in the feed, ensure the feed is wet and sloppy and that the horse has access to plenty of fresh drinking water.
  • Electrolytes given with insufficient fluid could increase the risk of dehydration.
